Two heavily armed men attempt to rob a bank. The famous Bank of America robbery. North Hollywood shootout was an armed confrontation between two heavily bank robbers (Larry Eugene Phillips, Jr. and Emil Dechebal Matasareanu) with armer piercing rounds and patrol and SWAT officers of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) on February 28, 1997, at a Bank Of America teler-office. Two suspects were killed, and 15 people, including 10 cops were injured. None of the injuries turned out to be "life threatening", Los Angeles Police Chief Willie Williams said. Although only the suspects were killed, the sheer number of injuries made this one of the bloodiest single cases of violent crime in the 1990s, and one of the most significant single bank robberies of the 20th century.

In this surveillance video from the robbery at the Bank of America on Bee Ridge Road in Sarasota on May 31, 2011, you first see Staff Sgt. Eddie Peoples in the background as he protects his children from the gunman. He then follows the suspect outside to block his getaway with his rented white van. Toward the end of the video (in the distance) you can see Peoples subdue the robbery suspect as Sarasota County Sheriff's Office deputies arrive.

Saw this happen earlier today (9/26/07) in downtown LA. Masked thieves running out to a getaway car, only to be surrounded by cops who run right by them into the bank, allowing thieves to escape! When it was all over a director yelled "reset!" and the scene unfolded again. Damn commercial shoots. Of course, its all fake, but for some reason people don't want to read the description and assume this could actually happen. The commercial was for the Chevy Malibu. Except for the block this took place on, the shoot was open to the public.

The FBI is asking for the public's assistance identifying and locating the White Glove Bandit, wanted for his third armed bank robbery, the latest on 3/12/2012. At approximately 9:30, the suspect walked into a Citibank located at 555 LaGuardia Place in Manhattan, approached the teller, waived a black revolver, and demanded cash. The White Glove Bandit fled on foot heading south on LaGuardia Place towards Houston Street. The suspect is described as a white male in his mid to late 30s, approximately 5'10'' tall, with a medium build. The right side of his nose is described as scarred or disfigured. During every robbery, he has been seen wearing black shoes, pants, jacket, sunglasses, and white latex gloves. The White Glove Bandit carries a black revolver and usually is seen wearing a black, red, and gray backpack. The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. Audio from both the camera and the Zoom H4n. We lost the last couple of audio files, hence the lack of dialogue quality at the end. Edited in Adobe Premiere Pro.
